Tamang Doctors Society Nepal Conducts Free Health Camp in Charkilla, Kavre

Date: 2025-06-07

The Tamang Doctors Society Nepal successfully organized a free health camp on 31st July 2021 at Charkilla, Mahabharat Gaunpalika, Kavre — an area often referred to as the "Second Karnali of Nepal" due to its remoteness and limited access to healthcare. The initiative aimed to provide basic medical services to underserved communities in the region who rarely receive regular health checkups.

The camp offered general health check-ups, distribution of essential medicines, and health counseling sessions. A team of dedicated doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers from the Tamang Doctors Society Nepal worked tirelessly to ensure quality service and compassionate care. The turnout of patients from the surrounding villages reflected the pressing need for such outreach programs in remote parts of the country.

According to organizers, the camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also raised awareness about preventive healthcare and hygiene practices. Locals expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, which helped bridge a critical healthcare gap in their community.

The Tamang Doctors Society Nepal extended sincere thanks to local authorities, volunteers, and the residents of Charkilla and Mahabharat Gaunpalika for their warm hospitality and support in making the event a success.
